A Poem by Me to YouIt is in the way my fingers slide over skin like shuffling cards,
Scattering jacks with kings and queens,
Hiding aces up long sleeves,
And playing patience.

It is in the way my eyes cannot meet yours,
Two bodies incapable of merging,
Different densities,
Difficult to mix.

But somewhere in this inescapable purgatory,
A place where you can fly without wings,
There is comfort to be found,
In the inability to change.
